This is a mouth. Please use yours
to help us spread word about our album.
Upcoming gig, upcoming album
Sup, fellow RJ’s. We have a few tidbits of news for you this week. First of all, we
haven’t been in the recording studio since I last blogged, due to the holidays and
festivities and spending time with our families and whatnot. The good news is, we
have already arranged a time to go back into the studio this week to continue the
great work that we’ve started.
Secondly, Tasty World has asked us to come back and play, and that is an offer
we can’t refuse. So, on Dec. 15th at 11 pm, The Ron Jonsons will take the stage
and play some of our album for ya. Bring your friends. Shoot, bring yourself at
least! We’ve got to get hype going about this new album. We don’t have a record
promoter, so we’re gonna have to get word out the old fashioned way: word of
mouth. So go out into that crazy world of ours and tell the good folks about this up
and coming band that’s going to attempt to progressively rock their socks off with
their first ever, brand new album. Then invite them to Tasty World to hear us with
their own ears.
That’s it for this week. Stay jazzy, Fan Jonsons!

Ahoy, RoJo Fans! It’s starting to get cold here in Hartwell and the Christmas spirit
is starting to affect all. But first, let’s take a look at some band news.
Yep, we’re still visiting the studio! We’re going in today, as a matter of fact, to
keep on pressing that disc. But don’t worry, we’ll tie you over with a little gig. On
Tuesday night (the 15th) we’ll be playing Tasty World in Athens again at 11 pm.
We’ll play some of the album for you so you can find out what we’re planning for
your CD players. Although it’ll probably be a cold night, come on in and we’ll warm
your bones with the second best thing to chicken noodle soup…rock.
This brings me to my next subject: the Christmas season. It’s that time again and I’
ve already started whipping out Christmas carols to play on guitar for my day job.
Christmas specials have been shooting out of my TV as fast as they can go. And
that’s not all; the Snow Miser has definitely started his tricks in Hartwell. The
temperature’s dropping and I’m bundling up at night by turning my comforter into
a Josh Burrito. So to all you Ron Fans out there, stay cozy! Why, before long, you’ll
be able to sit in front of the fireplace and put on a good CD of your RoJo favorites.
Consider it a greatest hits album of all our other albums, which at the time will be
just one. Well, it seems I’m rambling on now, so I’m just going to call it quits for
this week. Have a rocktacular day!

Austin and Spence make some magic.
This blog is dedicated to Adam Wynn.
Christmas greetings, Ron Fans! First off, allow me to explain why The Ron
Jonsons’ online empire went mad last night. We received an e-mail early
yesterday afternoon informing us that no other bands were able to be booked for
last night’s Tasty World gig and that they would hate to have to hold us
responsible for any lack of attendance. We also would have hated that, so we
agreed to have the Tasty World gig moved to a later date.
Now, we in The Ron Jonsons not only believe that the show must go on but we
also didn’t want to disappoint our fans. This is why, at the last second, we decided
to turn the gig into a house party gig at Spence’s apartment. So on facebook, I
sent updates to the fans (fan pages can’t send messages…lame) and changed
the status and event. On Myspace, I changed our status and the event, and on our
webpage, I posted a notice in the “Show Schedule” section of our page. We even
sent notices to our newsletter email list. We apologize to anybody that arrived at
Tasty World last night and did not see our notices. We are trying as hard as
possible to make sure that sudden show changes occur less and less. Thank you
very much for bearing with us, and we assure you, your fandom will pay off.
One way it will pay off is coming very soon. The Ron Jonsons’ very first album is
still in production and will be ready soon enough. Our original target for release
was at the beginning of 2010. I don’t believe it will be ready by January 1st, but we’
re going over the whole thing with a fine toothed comb to make sure it will be a
delight to your ears. Don’t worry folks, we’re even working through Christmas
week to make sure we finish as quickly as possible. It should be ready by the end
of January if not sooner! So keep crossing your fingers and we’ll keep working
hard in the studio. Until next time!

5...4...3...2...1...
Well, Ron Nation, 2009 is on its way out and a bright shiny new year is right
around the corner. This is a time of reflection and a time of looking into the future.
Let’s look at 2009 for The Ron Jonsons
There were many gigs, oh yes. There were many gigs indeed, but here are a
handful that stood out to us. In the spring, we were in preparation of a battle. That’
s right, the 2009 “Cars and Guitars Under The Stars” Battle Of The Bands. Many
great bands were involved and we came home with 2nd place. Not a shabby way
to end the night.
2009 also brought us not one, not two, but three gigs at the Mall of Georgia
Amphitheater. Those were also very cool gigs. It’s not everyday you get to play in
front of a few hundred people and we got to do it three times! We would like to
thank the Mall ‘o’ Georgia for having us and we’d love to rock Buford again soon!
And of course, possibly the most exciting news of 2009 is that we’ve begun
recording our very first album. This is a first step in being recognized as a legit
rock and roll band and we’ve waited far too long to make one. And this is how we
also will be looking to the future of 2010. We’ll finish the album in January (we
hope) and we’ll be able to get album reviews, bigger gigs, bigger audiences, more
respect, and the list goes on. 2010 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for The
Ron Jonsons! And we’re still hard at work, I assure you. As a matter of fact,
Spence and Austin are going to be in the studio TODAY recording some guitar and
keyboard parts.
So, from The Ron Jonsons, we wish you all a Happy New Year and we hope the
holidays have been treating you well. See you next year, Ron Fans!!!
